By downloading, accessing, or using WineMind (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
Eligibility & accounts
WineMind is intended for users 16+ or older where required by law. If your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age to access content related to alcoholic beverages (e.g., 18+ or 21+), you must meet that requirement. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Alcohol-related content & responsible use
- WineMind provides educational content about wine and related topics. It does not sell alcohol, facilitate purchases, or arrange delivery of alcoholic beverages.
- Content may reference alcoholic beverages. Access is intended only for users of legal age in their location. If you are not of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction, you must not use the Service.
- We promote responsible consumption. Never drink and drive. Obey blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limits and all applicable laws.
- Any tasting notes, pairing suggestions, or study exercises are for training and simulation. You are solely responsible for your choices regarding alcohol.
- If your institution, employer, or event imposes stricter rules (e.g., no alcohol during work/training), those rules take precedence.
Reminder: If you experience health issues or have concerns about alcohol use, seek professional advice. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, on medication, or have a medical condition, consult a healthcare professional before consuming alcohol.
License & educational scope
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use WineMind for educational purposes only. WineMind does not replace official wine certifications but complements study and preparation.
Subscriptions & payments
- Premium features are available via subscription through official app stores.
- Payments, billing, renewals, refunds, and trials are handled by Apple App Store and Google Play.
- We do not store card data directly.
- Refunds follow the policies of the respective stores.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse WineMind. Prohibited behavior includes:
- Sharing accounts, scraping, or circumventing subscription controls.
- Reverse engineering, copying, or redistributing content without permission.
- Uploading harmful code, abusing servers, or disrupting services.
- Using the Service to encourage excessive or unsafe alcohol consumption, underage drinking, or any illegal activity.
Health & safety disclaimer
WineMind is provided for informational and educational purposes. It is not medical, legal, or dietary advice. Content regarding alcohol consumption, health, or safety is general in nature and may not be suitable for your circumstances. Always seek professional guidance when needed.
In case of emergency or suspected alcohol poisoning, call local emergency services immediately.
Regional restrictions & local laws
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws where you access the Service, including laws on minimum drinking age, advertising and marketing restrictions, alcohol service hours, BAC limits, and import or transport rules. If local laws prohibit access to alcohol-related content, you must not use the Service.
- Age verification: We may implement checks or require self-certification of legal age.
- Geographic limitations: We may restrict features, content, or access in certain regions.
- Institutional policies: Schools/employers may block or limit access; respect those rules.
Intellectual property
All WineMind content, branding, and materials are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our name, logo, or materials without permission.
Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability
WineMind is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including decisions about alcohol consumption.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse WineMind. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account or app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence, unless overridden by mandatory consumer protection rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version. Continued use of WineMind means acceptance of the new Terms.
